AerCap takes Delivery of its First Boeing 737 MAX leases to China Southern Airlines AerCap announced 28 September that it has taken delivery of its first 737 MAX 8. The aircraft will be leased to China Southern Airlines, the first of 5 aircraft to go on lease to the airline from AerCap’s 737 MAX order book with Boeing. AerCap and China Southern Airlines have recorded several firsts in recent years. In March 2018, AerCap made history when it delivered China Southern Airlines’ first A321neo, making the airline the first operator of the aircraft type in China. In 2016, AerCap delivered the first Pratt & Whitney powered A320neo into China, to China Southern Airlines. AviaAM Financial Leasing China delivers brand new Boeing 737 to Okay Airways AviaAM Financial Leasing China – has recently delivered a brand new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its first client in China – Okay Airways. On 21st of September, an aircraft MSN 61407 from assembly line in Seattle, the United States, flew to the Zhengzhou, China, where was officially delivered to the operator. Since now Okay Airways will operate a 186 economy seats configured aircraft with 2* CFM56-7B26 engines for the next 12 years under the operating lease agreement BOC Aviation Delivers second S7 Airbus A320NEO BOC Aviation announced 24 September the delivery of a second Airbus A320NEO aircraft to S7 Airlines. BOC Aviation Delivers first seven Airbus A320NEO aircraft to Chongqing Airlines BOC Aviation announced 21 September the delivery of the first of seven Airbus A320NEO aircraft to Chongqing Airlines. Boeing Delivers First 787 Dreamliner for Shanghai Airlines Boeing and Shanghai Airlines on 21 September celebrated the delivery of the carrier's first 787-9 Dreamliner. The airline says it plans to use the super-efficient and passenger-preferred Dreamliner to upgrade its regional and long-range service from its base in China's largest city. The new airplane, with a special symbol of "100" on its fuselage, is the 100th airplane for Shanghai Airlines, a subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines. FTS partners with Qingdao Airlines for IFC FTS is partnering with Qingdao Airlines in China to equip its entire fleet of A320 aircraft with the FTS XStream-SAT Broadband Connectivity system. This follows the relaxation of the CAAC (Civil Aviation Authority of China) regulations early this year to allow passengers to use smartphones during flights Global ONE Media to provide IFE for Air China Global ONE Media Ltd has been selected by Air China Media Co.Ltd to license and deliver inflight entertainment (IFE) content for television, as well as domestic and international movies in multiple languages for Air China's global fleet. Global ONE Media Beijing team will lead Air China’s contract with support by IFE teams in One Inflight Ltd. UK and the company’s global network. The contract was signed in September 2018. IAI's Bedek Aviation Group Was Named As Official Maintenance Supplier Of V2500 Engines By HNA Group IAI's BEDEK Aviation Group has recently entered an official supplier agreement with HNA Group from China. Under the agreement, BEDEK's Engine Division will serve as the maintenance and overhaul center for the V2500 engines of HNA Group's airlines. The engines will be sent to BEDEK by the customers and returned to China following servicing. ICBC Leasing Celebrates 350th Aircraft in Service – Delivery of an A350-900 Aircraft to Qatar Airways ICBC Leasing announced 29 September the delivery of the third of four new Airbus A350-900 aircraft to Qatar Airways, on a long-term operating lease agreement. The milestone delivery signifies the 350th aircraft in service in ICBC Leasing’s fleet. “ICBC Leasing is very proud to deliver our 350th Aircraft to our long-term customer Qatar Airways. This is the 9th widebody aircraft we have delivered to Qatar Airways which shows our strong will to support the growth and global network development of the Airline.” Said Mr. ZHAO Guicai, CEO of ICBC Leasing. Liebherr LAMC delivers first China-assembled C919 landing gear Liebherr LAMC Aviation (Changsha) Co., a joint venture between the Chinese company LAMC (AVIC Landing Gear Advanced Manufacturing Corp.) and German-based Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, have delivered the first C919 landing gear system assembled in China to COMAC. Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH was selected by COMAC to develop, manufacture, qualify, certify and service the landing gear system of the C919, while its sister company Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS provides the integrated air management system for the aircraft. Spring Airlines picks up stake in China Southern for US$122 million China's Spring Airlines has become the fifth largest shareholder in China Southern Airlines after it subscribed to China Southern’s A-share non-public offering in a deal valued at US$122.78 million. Spring Airlines said the deal helps adhere to the government's request for strategic cooperation between state-owned capital and private capital.
