AerCap Names Bart Ligthart Head of Trading and Portfolio Management AerCap has announced 24 September that Bart Ligthart will assume the position of Head of Trading and Portfolio Management, with immediate effect. Mr. Ligthart joined the AerCap Portfolio Management team in 2007, and was appointed to the position of Head of Trading earlier this year. Mr. Ligthart has 11 years of experience in aircraft trading and portfolio management in both wide and narrow body aircraft. He has been central to developing and executing AerCap’s portfolio management strategy. Aircastle Announces Pricing of $650 Million Aggregate Principal Amount of Senior Notes Aircastle announced 20 September the pricing of its 4.400% senior notes due 2023 at an issue price of 99.831%. The size of the offering of the notes has been upsized from $500 million to $650 million aggregate principal amount of the notes. Aircastle plans to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include the acquisition of aircraft or the refinancing of its existing indebtedness. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., MUFG Securities Americas Inc. and RBC Capital Markets, LLC are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. FPG Amentum arranges sale of one Jeju Air 737-800 FPG Amentum announced 24 September the sale of a Boeing 737-800 (MSN 36814) for one of its investor customers. The aircraft is on lease to Jeju Air CO., Ltd. (‘Jeju Air’) and was sold to a US-based lessor. Intrepid Rebrands as Voyager Intrepid Aviation Group Holdings announced 21 September it is rebranding as Voyager Aviation Holdings (“Voyager”). This represents the next step in the evolution of the company following the announcement of the strategic partnership entered into with Amedeo on July 2nd 2018. Voyager is part of a broader strategic partnership with Amedeo, with common shareholders Centerbridge LP, Amedeo and Reservoir across all business. SMBC Aviation Capital delivers Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to Jet Airways SMBC Aviation Capital announced 25 September the delivery of first of thirteen Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft (MSN 44863) on sale and leaseback to Jet Airways. The full transaction, originally announced in February 2018 involves the sale and leaseback of 13 Boeing 737 MAX 8 powered by CFM International LEAP-1B engines.
