Alstom’s Chinese joint venture wins its first airport APM operation and maintenance contract in China Alstom’s Chinese joint venture, CRRC Puzhen Bombardier Transportation Systems Limited (PBTS) was awarded a new contract by Chengdu Tianfu International Airport to provide operation and maintenance service for the airport’s Innovia automated people mover (APM) system, which was built by PBTS and will enter service in late June, 2021. The contract is valued at nearly €20.3 million (160 million CNY excl. VAT). PBTS will be responsible for operating and maintaining the system for the first two years, and routine preventive and corrective maintenance of vehicles and other parts of the APM system for the following eight years. China Sets out ‘Global 123’ Air Cargo Vision The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has a new strategy initiative  to accelerate air freight growth creating what it calls a “global 123 cargo flow circle.” Eastern Air Logistics (EAL), a subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines Group, officially landed in A-share market China Eastern Air Logistics Co., Ltd  was listed on the main board of Shanghai Stock Exchange on 9th june, issued "the first share of mixed ownership reform of aviation". Eastern Air Logistics is a modern integrated logistics service enterprise of China Eastern Airlines Group. According to the prospectus, the main business of EAL is the integrated service business of air logistics, which integrates business functions such as air express transportation, cargo terminal operation, multimodal transport, warehousing, cross-border e-commerce solutions, inter-industry project supply chain, aviation special cargo solutions and direct origin solutions. John Menzies Expands in China With New JV John Menzies PLC announced that it has agreed to a minority investment, by way of a joint venture, in Guangzhou JFreight Aviation Logistics Supply Chain Co. The aviation-services business said it will invest £3.4 million pounds ($4.8 million) in JFreight and that it will manage and operate a new cargo terminal at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China. In a statement it said "This investment creates a strong platform for Menzies in this attractive growth market and represents clear delivery against the company's strategic objectives of optimizing its portfolio with a greater focus on cargo and expanding its geographical footprint into new markets.” Acumen Aviation © 14 June 2021 All Rights Reserved.
