Air China plans to operate 24 international routes in June Air China is planning to operate 24 international routes to destinations in Asia, Europe and North America between 1st June and 1st July , the carrier said in a statement posted on its website.
China Sees Improved international Air Cargo Transport Capacity
China has seen fast improvement in its international air cargo transport capacity which strongly facilitates the country's international supply chain, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). China currently operates 4,250 international cargo flights per week, which represents a 215% increase over the average weekly international cargo flight volume during last year, according to the CAAC. The CAAC has introduced a series of measures to enhance the comparatively inadequate capacity in international air cargo transport which is revealed amid the pandemic. These measures include simplifying cargo flights approvement, opening more peak time for cargo flights at major airports, and encouraging airliners to fully use their all-cargo freighters and passenger aircraft for cargo transporting missions.
China Starts Pilot Project on Whole-Journey Luggage Tracking
China has started a pilot project for whole-journey luggage tracking systems at six major airports, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China. As of mid-May, three air routes and six major airports across the country were capable of providing services for passengers to track luggage during their whole journey, said the CAAC. These airports include Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport, and Shanghai Hongqiao, Guangzhou Baiyun, Shenzhen Bao'an and Chongqing Jiangbei airports. Passengers can check luggage conditions in real time through mobile applications of airlines at six key points: check-in, security check, sorting, truck loading, aircraft loading and luggage arrival. The application of the whole-journey luggage tracking project is of great importance to the Chinese civil aviation industry in enhancing its service to passengers, according to the CAAC. China to fly AG600 amphibious aircraft from sea surface China's independently developed AG600 large amphibious aircraft will conduct its first flight from the sea surface in the second half of this year, This large aircraft will make take-off from the sea surface of the coastal city of Qingdao, in east China's Shandong Province, said the state-owned plane maker Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). It represents a major step forward of the AG600 large amphibious aircraft project, the AVIC said. Fitch Publishes AVIC Capital's 'A-' Rating; Outlook Stable  Fitch Ratings has published AVIC Capital Co., Ltd.'s (AVIC Capital) Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of 'A-'. The Outlook is Stable. AVIC Capital is a financial holding company under Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), a state-owned military and civilian aircraft manufacturer in China.
