Aergo Capital announces the acquisition of four (4) ATR72-600 aircraft in a transaction arranged by AELIS Aergo Capital has completed the acquisition of four (4) 2014-15 Vintage ATR72-600 aircraft from a major international financial institution. The aircraft were acquired naked and in parallel, lease documentation is close to being agreed on a number of the units.Aergo Capital CEO Fred Browne stated “This acquisition demonstrates Aergo’s flexibility and broad range of skills which allows us to focus on a wide range of high quality deals that present good value and real opportunity to yield strong returns for our investors. Aergo has seen a growing range of opportunities to work with banks and other players who are motivated to sell in today’s market.” Aircastle Delivers the First of Fifteen Embraer 195 E2 Aircraft to KLM Cityhopper Aircastle announced that it has delivered an Embraer E195-E2 aircraft to KLM Cityhopper. This is the first of fifteen E195-E2 aircraft that Aircastle will deliver to KLM through 2024. Aircastle’s CEO Mike Inglese stated “Aircastle’s first E195-E2 delivery to KLM represents a significant milestone in a difficult period for the aviation industry. We are proud to be playing a meaningful role in KLM’s fleet renewal, facilitating a shift to more environmentally conscious operations and helping KLM meet their goal of reducing their carbon footprint by at least 50% per passenger by 2030.We look forward to being a valued and trusted partner to KLM for many years to come as they promote their industry leading sustainability initiatives. We will be delivering fourteen additional E195-E2 to KLM through 2024.” GECAS Arranges Purchase Leaseback Agreements with IndiGo for 14 Airbus Neos GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) along with the ventures it services have agreed a Purchase/Leaseback (PLB) arrangement for 14 LEAP-powered Airbus neo aircraft with IndiGo. The seven A320neo and seven A321neo are scheduled to deliver between the fourth quarter of 2021 and the middle of 2022. GECAS SVP and Asia-Pacific Regional Manager Aashish Sonawala stated “GECAS remains proud to support IndiGo’s exciting growth over the past 15 years, and adding these 14 neos is a true honor”. Green Africa Ready with Three Aircraft from ACIA Aero Leasing, First Aircraft Arrives in Lagos Green Africa has announced the arrival of its first ATR 72-600 aircraft into Lagos. This is the first of the three aircraft currently leased from ACIA Aero Leasing. The carrier recently unveiled the livery of two aircraft (5N-GAE and 5N-GAA) and the third aircraft (5N-GAD) is also now beautifully wrapped in the Green Africa livery in preparation for final lap of the AOC process. ACIA Aero Leasing CEO Mick Mooney said Whilst the industry is going through a period of significant disruption, there are a few carriers with a strategic roadmap, such as Green Africa, that are looking to provide effective solutions that the current market opportunity brings.
