Avolon eyes No. 1 spot on acquisitions and organic growth Chinese-owned Avolon, the world’s third-biggest aircraft lessor, wants to double in size through a mix of organic growth and acquisitions at a time when the industry outlook looks positive for several years, the company’s CEO said. “Avolon’s strategic objective is to become No. 1 in the world in as short a time as possible really,” Avolon CEO Domhnal Slattery said. BOC Aviation Delivers Airbus A320 to Zhejiang Loong Airlines BOC Aviation delivered the first of five Airbus A320-200 aircraft to Zhejiang Loong Airlines. This aircraft is from the Company's existing order book. BOC Aviation Delivers Airbus A321-200 to Air Busan BOC Aviation delivered an Airbus A321-200 aircraft to Asiana, operated by Air Busan. This aircraft is from the Company's existing order book. BOC Aviation Delivers Airbus A330-300 to Eva Air BOC Aviation delivered an Airbus A330-300 aircraft to EVA Air. This aircraft is from the Company's existing order book. China Aircraft Leasing closes first unsecured syndicated loan China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings, a full value-chain aircraft solutions provider for global airlines, announced on November 1 the closing of its first unsecured syndicated loan, which does not limit the usage of proceeds to certain designated aircraft. This enables flexible delivery schedules for clients when the group plan to purchase aircraft from various manufacturers. Chinese fire up Irish aviation finance market One of Ireland’s most established markets is experiencing a renewed burst of growth. As China’s aviation sector expands rapidly to meet surging domestic demand for air travel, Dublin is emerging as a major hub for Beijing’s growing ambitions in the aircraft leasing market. Eighteen groups from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong are using the Irish capital as a strategic bridgehead in their push for a bigger share of the $261bn global market.
