  • @airBaltic Since May, airBaltic has been offering passengers the opportunity to contribute to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) when booking their flights. This summer, nearly 5000 travelers have already chosen this eco-friendly option, demonstrating the first signs of passenger engagement in building a sustainable aviation future.
  • @johnpletz United Airlines says it doesn't plan to move its HQ from Chicago to Denver, despite purchasing more than 100 acres in the Mile High City.
  • @LuxuryTravelled If stopping airlines selling ancillary products means that airfares go up, that’s not the right way to go. However, the ancillary charges should be proportionate to the fare paid.
  • @LuxuryTravelled This is an interesting slide from Ryanair’s CMD yesterday. They see a potential for up to 100 extra aircraft to allocate to the UK, increasing its market share up to 35%. Worth noting the number of aircraft Jet2 have on order (and the need they have to fill aircraft).
  • @winglets747 Seems London has been tough post-pandemic. Too much leisure capacity. Americans are in Italy. United in April called out London as its weakest. Yields low - not much for a LCC to stimulate. Legacies have to preserve slots, but small aircraft may not have enough premium spec.
