Envoy announces plans to add 19 large Regional Jets

Alaska Airlines adds first Boeing 737-8 aircraft

Alaska Airlines took delivery of its first Boeing 737-8 aircraft registered N801AK msn 67802 on 29 December 2023. The carrier will leverage the aircraft’s range capability to open new city pairs on its route network for example Anchorage- New York JFK (3,386 miles). The carrier is scheduled to take delivery of seven more 737-8s in 2024, with the next. The 737-8, -9 and -10 all offer a common cockpit, common engines, and similar components, delivering significant unit cost savings. Alaska Airlines senior vice president of fleet, finance and alliances Nat Pieper said "The addition of the 737-8 and eventually the 737-10 to our fleet creates new opportunities for us to fly longer nonstop routes and maximize our revenue potential. We have achieved terrific results with the 737-9 in guest satisfaction, economics, and fuel efficiency, and we are excited for our future with the other 737 models.”

Envoy announced the additional 19 Embraer aircraft to its fleet comprising of eight Embraer 175 and eleven Embraer 170 aircraft, with deliveries schedule for 2024. JSX Signs A Letter Of Intent For 150 ERA Aircraft

JSX and AURA AERO announced signature of signed a Letter of Intent for the ERA, the hybrid-electric 19-seater regional aircraft for 50 aircraft plus 100 additional options. JSX stated it intends to use the hybrid-electric revolution to expand access to reliable flight for small communities around the USA. The aircraft deliveries are due to commence in 2028 focused on extensive point-to-point route network.
