Etihad to now operate India flights from 15th July Etihad Airways postponed to 15th July the resumption of a limited number of special flight operations from Abu Dhabi to six Indian gateways. The airline will operate services from Abu Dhabi to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Mumbai. "As part of the close strategic partnership between the governments of India and UAE, and with a view to assisting UAE residents who are presently in India to return to UAE, the Civil Aviation Authorities of both countries have agreed to operationalise a special arrangement," Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had tweeted. To maximise capacity, IAG Cargo has been operating cargo-only flights out of the country since May 2020 in response to Covid-19. Beginning with flights out of Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Bangalore. IAG Cargo is currently operating daily services out of Mumbai, four weekly services out of Delhi and three weekly services from Bangalore and Hyderabad. SpiceJet to expand cargo operations SpiceJet chairman and managing director Ajay Singh told Telangana Today the carrier is now evaluating converting more aircraft into freighters. It is also adding new international destinations and rapidly expanding its network in Africa and CIS countries.
