Boeing, CDB Aviation Lease Finance Announce Order for 30 737 MAX 8 airplanes Boeing and CDB Aviation Lease Finance (CDB Aviation) announced an order for 30 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The order, valued at $3.3 billion at current list prices, was previously unidentified on Boeing's Orders & Deliveries website. Based in Dublin, Ireland, CDB Aviation operates as a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co LTD (CDB Leasing) with registered capital of $US50 million and a fleet of over 200 aircraft, CDB Aviation has over 10 years' experience in the business and is one of the largest and most influential Chinese-owned aviation leasing companies. CIT Reaches Agreement To Sell Stake In TC-CIT Aviation Joint Ventures CIT Aerospace Group announced that it has reached an agreement to sell its 30 percent ownership stake in the commercial aircraft leasing joint ventures TC-CIT Aviation Ireland and TC-CIT Aviation U.S., Inc. to its joint venture partner Tokyo Century Corporation (TC). The share purchase is expected to close on or prior to March 31, 2017, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. Following this transaction, TC will be the sole owner of the entities. DAE acquires portfolio of ATR 72-600s from GECAS Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) announced it has completed the purchase of a portfolio of ATR 72-600 aircraft from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). This purchase brings the total number of owned and committed ATR 72-600 aircraft in DAE’s fleet to 57, making DAE one of the largest lessors of the ATR 72-600 worldwide. The acquisition falls in line with DAE’s long term strategic interest in ATR aircraft, of which DAE ultimately expects to own up to 100. NAC completed its second acquisition with Air Lease Corporation Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) announced it has completed the acquisition of a 25 aircraft portfolio from Air Lease Corporation. The portfolio comprises 20 E190 and 5 E175 aircraft leased to 8 airlines globally. These 25 aircraft increase NAC’s total fleet to 394 aircraft and serve to further establish its position as the world’s largest regional aircraft lessor. SMBC Aviation Capital delivers Boeing B787-8 to Avianca SMBC Aviation Capital, announced that it has added an additional Boeing 787-8 (MSN 39406) to its fleet which has been delivered to Aerovias Del Continente Americano S.A (Avianca) on sale and leaseback.
