Read here Altavair Closes Sale and Leaseback of Six A321-200 Aircraft with Delta Air Lines KKR, a leading global investment firm, and Altavair L.P., a leader in commercial aviation finance, announced today the signing of a sale and leaseback with Delta Air Lines for six Airbus A321-200 aircraft. The acquisition was made through aircraft leasing investment platform Altitude Aircraft Leasing. Due to our longstanding relationship with Delta, we were able to document and close on this transaction in very short order. The aircraft were delivered new in sale & leaseback transactions with InterGlobe Aviation Ltd Irish aircraft leasing industry acts to secure and deliver PPE to the Irish healthcare system from China as part of the response to the Covid-19 crisis Three charter flights from China to Ireland supported by Irish leasing firms, and ALI, the aircraft leasing unit of IBEC, representing 33 lessors in Ireland have delivered much needed PPE equipment for the Irish healthcare system. The support includes funding towards PPE for healthcare workers and for three charter flights all transporting PPE, one of which is due today from China, another which landed earlier in April, and plans underway for a further flight from another Asian jurisdiction, all facilitated by aircraft leasing companies. Such is the response by the wider aircraft leasing community that additional funds raised are being channelled to a variety of other Irish charity partners to combat the effects of Covid-19'.
