ACIA Aero Leasing Diversifies Aircraft Portfolio with Addition of First Embraer E190 ACIA Aero Leasing announced the acquisition of its first Embraer E190. The E-Jet is joining the lessor’s growing fleet as the company evaluates new investment opportunities as part of a planned expansion into new markets. ACIA Aero Leasing Senior Vice President  Commercial Sameer Adam stated “That this acquisition represents "a significant milestone in progressing our fleet growth strategy. It is a launching point for engaging airlines interested in the E190/E195 aircraft specifically designed to crossover regional and mainline operations. It also opens up further opportunities to evaluate other portfolio enhancements, including the prospect of adding the next-generation E-Jet E2 family aircraft." Deutsche Bank closes first facility with Sirius Aviation Capital Sirius Aviation Capital announced that one of its joint venture entities had closed its first bank facility with Deutsche Bank to refinance the acquisition of five (5) single-aisle aircraft which it had acquired in 2020. The five aircraft are on operating leases to three different carriers: three Boeing 737 NG’s with Southwest (US), one A320 with Spirit (US) and one A320 with Etihad (UAE). Sirius Aviation Capital Chief Financial Officer Kieran Ryan said “We are pleased to have executed our first facility with Deutsche Bank, as establishing this banking relationship is a significant milestone for the business. The successful conclusion of this debt transaction is both an endorsement of the underlying strength of the market for mid-life aircraft, and Sirius’s business strategy of leasing to top tier operators of these aircraft.” LCI And SMFL Expand Helicopter Leasing Joint Venture With $120 Million Fleet Growth LCI and Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company, Limited (SMFL) have acquired and committed to an additional twelve next generation helicopters within their helicopter leasing joint venture. The helicopters, which are worth in excess of $120 million, represent a more than 50% expansion of the joint venture’s fleet less than a year after it was launched. The new aircraft comprise of four Airbus Helicopters H145, three Leonardo AW139 and five Leonardo AW169 helicopters. SMBC Aviation Capital delivers Boeing 737-8 MAX to FlyDubai SMBC Aviation Capital announced the delivery of one (1) Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft (MSN 60995) equipped with two (2) CFM LEAP-1B28 engines to FlyDubai. The Aircraft is the third of seven (7) Boeing 737-8 MAX units to be delivered to FlyDubai. TrueNoord leases new ATR72-600s to SKY express TrueNoord has signed a strategic agreement with the fastest growing Greek operator SKY express for new ATR-600s that are on a phased fleet induction programme with operating leases. Michael Adams, Sales Director–Europe at TrueNoord  stated “We are looking forward to supporting SKY express’ continued growth with the new ATR 72-600s.
