Aircraft-leasing giant AerCap on course as global demand set to soar AerCap has an owned fleet of 1,011 aircraft and is expected to take delivery of 440 new aircraft through 2017-2023. Headquartered in Dublin and led by chief executive Aengus Kelly, AerCap has grown its equity value from $420m in 2005 to $8.6bn today to become the world's largest aircraft lessor. Read story here. Dubai Aerospace raises $2.3b in bonds for AWAS deal Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has priced $2.3 billion in senior bonds split across three tranches. DAE, the aircraft leasing and maintenance company controlled by the government of Dubai, will use part of the proceeds from the bond sale, together with cash on hand, to pay for the acquisition of Dublin-based lessor AWAS, announced earlier this year. Goshawk completes largest US Private Placement by an aircraft lessor Goshawk Aviation Limited has completed its second issuance of unsecured notes to institutional investors in the US private placement market. The deal was launched as a $100 million senior notes issuance however strong market demand resulted in a final issuance size of $566.5 million. This is understood to be the largest ever US Private Placement issuance by an aircraft lessor. Goshawk deliver first of six aircraft to American Airlines Goshawk announced 20 July the acquisition of one Boeing 737-800 aircraft on long term lease to American Airlines. The delivery is the first of a six aircraft transaction with American, with the remaining aircraft consisting of two A321 and three additional B737-800 aircraft, all scheduled for delivery in 2017. NAC delivered one ATR 72-500, MSN 876, to Yeti Airlines on lease Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) announced 26 July that it has delivered one ATR 72-500, MSN 876, to Yeti Airlines on lease. This aircraft is the first of its type to be introduced to the airline. SMBC Aviation Capital delivers fourth Airbus A320neo to Scandinavian Airline, SAS SMBC Aviation Capital has announced that it has delivered an Airbus A320neo (MSN 7755) to Scandinavian Airline SAS on sale and leaseback. This is the fourth of a five aircraft deal, originally announced in December 2016. The fifth and final aircraft is scheduled for delivery in February 2018.
