AerCap Signs Lease Agreement with Austrian Airlines for 777 Aircraft AerCap Holdings N.V announced 3 May it has signed a lease agreement for a Boeing 777-200ER with Austrian Airlines. The aircraft is scheduled to deliver in January 2018. Manufactured in 2001, the aircraft was operated by Aeromexico. AerCap President and Chief Commercial Officer Philip Scruggs said, “The 777 remains a work-horse of the industry. This transaction proves the continued demand for the aircraft type. We have leased 777-200ER to both scheduled flag carriers and leisure operators. The combination of size and performance makes the 777-200ER an ideal aircraft for Austrian Airlines’ fleet requirements.” AerCap Signs Lease Agreement with New Airline Customer, Germania AerCap Holdings N.V. announced 28 April it has signed a lease agreement for an Airbus A319 with German carrier, Germania. The aircraft was delivered to the airline on April 19, 2017. AerCap Signs Lease Agreement with New Airline Customer, Wamos Air AerCap Holdings N.V. announced 27 April it has signed a lease agreement with Spanish carrier, Wamos Air. The 2003 vintage Airbus A330-200, powered by Rolls-Royce engines, will deliver to Wamos in June 2017. AWAS Acquires Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Lease to Air Europa AWAS announced 3 May the acquisition of a Boeing 787-8 on lease to Air Europa. The aircraft was delivered on May 3 to the Spanish carrier at the Boeing delivery centre in Everett, Seattle. AWAS acquired the aircraft as part of a portfolio trade transaction delivered on a long-term lease by Jackson Square Aviation. This trade transaction of a premium aircraft is a win-win for both companies and further develops our mutually beneficial relationship. FPG / DVB Bank / Mega Bank completed the closing of a JOLCO financing for a Boeing 787-9. FPG / DVB / Mega Bank have successfully closed a JOLCO for a Boeing 787-9 which delivered to Air Canada in February 2017. The equity was arranged by FPG AIM and underwritten by FPG in Japan. The senior loan was arranged and underwritten by DVB Bank and Mega Bank. Skyworks Capital was advisor to Air Canada. 'No opportunity' in A330neo: SMBC chief Lessor SMBC Aviation Capital has ruled out interest in the Airbus A330neo, instead focusing its energies on securing more sale-and-leaseback deals for the A350. “We think we want to focus on the A350 where there’s a lot of opportunity,” said CEO Peter Barrett, speaking in Toulouse on 24 April, shortly before the lessor took ownership of its first A350 – a -900 variant from South Korea’s Asiana. NAC delivered one Bombardier Dash 8-Q400, MSN 4328, to Hawaii Island Air, Inc. on lease Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) 3 May announced that it has delivered one Bombardier Dash 8- Q400, MSN 4328, to Hawaii Island Air, Inc. on lease. This is the final aircraft to deliver as part of a two-aircraft lease deal signed in 2017. Norwegian has completed financing of additional 9 aircraft Norwegian signed an agreement with a new syndicated structure regarding financing of all six 737 MAX 8 aircraft with delivery in 2017. In addition three 737-800s will be financed with sale and leaseback. Norwegian’s subsidiary Arctic Aviation Assets Ltd (AAA) has completed financing of six Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with an insurance guaranteed financing product. This covers all the scheduled deliveries of Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft during 2017. Ping An Leasing Delivers Airbus A350-900XWB Wide-body Aircraft on Sale and Leaseback to Ethiopian Airlines Ping An Leasing has delivered an Airbus A350-900XWB wide-body aircraft on sale and leaseback to Ethiopian Airlines on April 28, 2017 in Toulouse. The transaction was completed by its wholly-owned Dublin-based subsidiary, Ping An Aircraft Leasing and represents the first wide-body aircraft in its portfolio and also its first sale and leaseback in Africa. The aircraft is the first delivery from sale and lease back arrangement for two A350-900 delivering in 2017 between Ping An Aircraft Leasing and Ethiopian Airlines. Vermillion to lease eight new A320-200Neo to IndiGo Vermillion Aviation Holdings Ireland Limited has entered into a purchase & lease arrangement with InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) for eight new A320-200Neo aircraft with Pratt & Whitney PW1127GJM engines.
