Air Lease Corporation Leases Airbus A220-300's to Czech Airlines

Czech Airlines has signed long-term lease agreements for four new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, according to Air Lease Corporation. From ALC's order book with Airbus, four Airbus A220-300 aircraft are due for delivery in 2024. Air Lease Corporation Executive Chairman Steven Udvar-Házy, said “We are pleased to announce this lease placement for four new Airbus A220 aircraft with Czech Airlines. As the first to introduce the A220 to the airline, ALC looks forward to working with Czech Airlines long-term to modernize and enhance the airline’s fleet with the most technologically advanced and fuel-efficient new aircraft.”

Boeing delivers First 767 Freighter to Air Tanzania

Air Tanzania's first 767-300 Freighter delivery was announced jointly by Boeing and Air Tanzania. The aircraft, which has a capacity of 52 tonnes and a range of 3,255 nautical miles, was delivered to the airline's hub in Dar es Salaam. The aircraft will enable the carrier to meet the growing demand for cargo services. Additionally, it is the first straight delivery of a 767 Freighter from Boeing to an airline operating in Africa. Air Tanzania managing director Ladislaus Matindi, said "We are thrilled to welcome the 767-300 Boeing Freighter to our fleet. The 767 will cater to the growing cargo demand which was previously carried by passenger airplanes. The 767 will enable Air Tanzania to support a journey towards a more sustainable future and time critical cargo schedules across Africa and beyond."

JetBlue and Frontier announce divestiture agreement

In connection with JetBlue's planned merger with Spirit Airlines, Frontier Group Holdings and JetBlue Airways Corporation announced that the two airlines had entered into a binding agreement. As part of this agreement, JetBlue will sell all of Spirit Airlines' assets at New York's LaGuardia Airport to Frontier. These assets primarily include six gates at the Marine Air Terminal and 22 take-off and landing slots. These divestitures are a requirement of the JetBlue-Spirit merger agreement's upfront obligations made by JetBlue and are contingent upon the transaction's completion.

PSA to Acquire Seven CRJ 900 Aircraft

American Airlines announced it will take delivery of seven Bombardier CRJ 900 NextGen aircraft that will be placed with and operated by PSA in the coming months. The update to our fleet will bring PSA's current total fleet count to 141, consisting of 61 CRJ 700s and 80 CRJ 900s.
