Air Lease Corporation orders two Boeing 787-9s

Air Lease Corporation and Boeing announced at the Paris Air Show 2023. ALC will grow its portfolio  with a purchase of two 787 -9Dreamliners. Boeing Commercial Airplanes President & CEO Stan Deal said “ALC is a key strategic leasing partner to Boeing, and we are delighted that it continues to see the value proposition of the 787 family for its customers.”

 

American Airlines Announces Embraer 175 order

American Airlines announced has signed a firm order with Embraer for seven new E175s in a contract valued at $403.4 million at list prices. The aircraft will be operated by American's wholly owned subsidiary, Envoy Air. Envoy's fleet of E-Jets will grow to over 141 aircraft by the end of 2024. Embraer Commercial Aviation President and CEO Arjan Meijer said “We thank American Airlines and Envoy for their long partnership with Embraer. It's hard to exaggerate the impact this hardworking aircraft has every day, delivering essential, dependable service, and an economic lifeline to communities across the North American market. The E175 is the backbone of the US regional network, with over 620 aircraft sold, and 86% market share since 2013."

 

Aviation Capital Group (ACG) Acquires Airbus A320neo Portfolio

Aviation Capital Group announced the acquisition of a portfolio of Airbus A320neo aircraft from funds managed by Air Lease Corporation. The portfolio comprises five aircraft, each of which is on lease to Spirit Airlines. The acquisition of these aircraft, which are powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, complements ACG’s deliveries to Spirit Airlines from ACG’s orderbook with Airbus.

 

Republic Airways orders GE engines for Embraer regional jets

GE Aerospace announced it will be fulfilling orders for 37 CF34-8E engines for Republic Airways’ fleet of Embraer E170/175 regional jets. The order includes spares and an extension of the airline’s TrueChoice services agreement. Vice President GE Commercial Programs for GE Aerospace Kathy MacKenzie, said “Republic Airways is one of the largest CF34 operators in the world and we are extremely proud that they continue to put their trust in our engines, operating these CF34-8Es day in and day out. With our expanded services agreement, our mission is that the airline continues to receive the same high-quality MRO service and support that they have come to expect from GE Aerospace.”
