Air Transat and Porter Airlines conclude code-sharing agreement Air Transat and Porter Airlines have concluded a code-sharing agreement to be implemented for the 2022 summer season. The first phase of the agreement will focus on connecting Porter's bases at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and Halifax-Stanfield (YHZ) to Air Transat's hub at Montreal-Trudeau (YUL). Under the agreement each carrier will market, under its own code and licence, flights operated by the other partner, enabling customers to combine flight segments on a single ticket and check their baggage just once. American Airlines Names Scott Laurence Senior Vice President of Partnership Strategy American Airlines announced the appointment of Scott Laurence to the role of Senior Vice President of Partnership Strategy. Laurence will begin his new role later this month and report to Vasu Raja, American’s Chief Commercial Officer. Amerijet International Airlines B757 Fleet Expansion Amerijet International Airlines announced that it has introduced six Boeing 757 freighters to its fleet. The B757-200(PCF) freighters enable versatility, range, and payload capability ideally suited for destinations throughout its Caribbean, Mexico, Central American and European network. Amerijet Chief Executive Officer Tim Strauss stated "I'm incredibly proud of our employees who worked tirelessly to bring the B757 project to fruition. These aircraft will be a wonderful addition to our fleet, giving us a platform for continued growth as we approach 50 years of continuous service from our home base in Miami, Florida.” ATSG Subsidiary Cargo Aircraft Management Inducts Its First A321 to Freighter Conversion Air Transport Services Group announced that its leasing subsidiary Cargo Aircraft Management has begun its first Airbus A321 aircraft for passenger-to-freighter conversion. PEMCO Conversions, a division of wholly owned ATSG subsidiary Pemco World Air Services, Inc., inducted the aircraft for conversion at its Tampa, Fla. facility. The aircraft will undergo the A321-200PCF freighter conversion developed by 321 Precision Conversions, a joint venture of ATSG and Oregon-based Precision Aircraft Solutions. DHL Express Places New Order for Six Additional 777 Freighters DHL Express and Boeing announced that the world-leading express service provider has placed an order for six additional 777 Freighters. The purchase takes DHL Express' order book total to 28 777 Freighters since it placed its first direct order in 2018. The carrier has taken delivery of 15 777 Freighters to date. Global Crossing Airlines Announces Lease of Two A321 Passenger-to-Freighter Aircraft Global Crossing Airlines announced the signing of an order for the long-term lease of two Airbus A321 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) aircraft from Petrus Aerovista A321 Holdings LLC. The first aircraft (MSN 1451) will commence conversion in Q1 2023 and expected to enter service in August 2023.
