Bob Cummings to return to the WestJet Group as President of Swoop The WestJet Group announced the return of Bob Cummings to the airline's Executive Leadership Team as President of Swoop, WestJet's ultra-low-cost carrier. Cummings will begin his role effective from 18th April. The WestJet Group CEO Alexis von Hoensbroech said “I am delighted to welcome Bob back to the WestJet Group to lead Swoop through this pivotal time for affordable air travel in Canada. Bob's passion and knowledge of the ULCC market, his strength in leading high-performing teams and his impressive track record with the WestJet Group, will ensure that Swoop continues to lead the way in providing Canadians with access to ultra-low fare travel." GA Telesis Announces the Delivery of Third Boeing 737-800SF Freighter Conversion, Second to Compass Cargo Airlines GA Telesis announced the delivery of its third B737-800SF (MSN 28616) passenger-to-freighter conversion. This is the second freighter aircraft delivered to Bulgarian-based Compass Cargo Airlines. The aircraft was converted by Aeronautical Engineers, Inc authorized Conversion Center, Commercial Jet, in Miami. GA Telesis’ Leasing, Investment, Financing & Trading Group has continued executing its passenger-to-freighter conversion strategy since announcing its expansion in the air cargo market in July 2020. With three Boeing 737-800SF converted aircraft in service, LIFT still holds nine more confirmed slots for this popular P2F airframe. Global Crossing Airlines celebrates its first Airbus A321P2F conversion by ST Engineering with door cutting ceremony Global Crossing Airlines celebrated a key milestone for its first A321 P2F aircraft by ST Engineering with a door cutting ceremony that takes place this morning. The freighter aircraft is currently undergoing conversion at ST Engineering’s airframe facility in San Antonio. GlobalX and ST Engineering had in 2021 signed an LOI to lease up to five (5) A321 P2F. The first aircraft is expected to be delivered in Q3 2022. In addition to leasing freighter aircraft, GlobalX will also use the engineering and maintenance services provided by ST Engineering to support the operation of its passenger and freighter aircraft. TrueAero Delivers the First of Two Airbus A330-200s to Aerolineas Argentinas TrueAero announced the delivery of one Airbus A330-200 equipped with two CF6-80E engines to Aerolineas Argentinas, MSN 877.  The second Airbus A330-200, MSN 899, is scheduled to deliver in the coming weeks. TrueAero CEO Karl Drusch said “We are delighted to deliver our first A330-200 to Aerolineas Argentinas, establishing a new relationship between our companies, while contributing to the success of Aerolineas Argentinas”.
