Dublin Aerospace Welcomes Former Spirit Airlines A320neo
Dublin Aerospace has welcomed a former Spirit Airlines Airbus A320neo to its Dublin hangar for base maintenance ahead of its next operator. The aircraft, N961NK, an Airbus A320-271N c/n 11003 owned by SMBC Aviation Capital, routed Phoenix-Bangor-Dublin on 10–11 June. Planespotters reports the aircraft is registered as OE-IED for Condor Airlines.
Dublin Named Launch Base for Ryanair’s 737 MAX-10
Ryanair has announced that Dublin Airport will be the first base to receive its new 228-seat Boeing 737 MAX-10 aircraft, subject to proposed 15 per cent cuts in Dublin Airport fees by the independent IAA Regulator. The aircraft will offer 21 per cent more seats per departure than the 189-seat Boeing 737-800. Ryanair said the MAX-10 deliveries will increase its network average seat gauge from 189 seats in 2019 to 206 seats by 2034, with Dublin expected to see higher average seat gauge and overall capacity.
Swiss Reinstates Geneva-Dublin Route
Swiss International Air Lines has reinstated its seasonal Geneva-Dublin service, with flights resuming on 28 June 2026 following a three-month suspension. The route operates as flights LX410/411 using 145-seat Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The reinstated inaugural service was operated by Airbus A220-300 HB-JCT, msn 55046, marking the return of the carrier’s direct Geneva-Dublin link for the summer season.

Its new +Air 28 Plan will focus on operational efficiency, profitability and data-led management, while the CORE programme and Air Europa ON plan will support competitiveness and improvements to customer service.
Air New Zealand Marks Dreamliner Milestone as Final Aircraft Returns from Storage
Air New Zealand has returned its final Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from long-term storage, leaving the airline with no widebody aircraft in storage for the first time since the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine shortage affected fleet availability. At the peak of the shortage, five of its 14 Boeing 787-9 aircraft were grounded. With its retrofit programme progressing and two new Boeing 787-9 aircraft due by the end of the year, the airline expects targeted growth in widebody capacity over the next two years.
Air Premia Approves Capital Increase to Restore Financial Stability
Air Premia has approved a shareholder rights offering to address capital impairment and strengthen its financial position. Majority shareholder Tire Bank is expected to invest more than KRW 100 billion. The fundraising is intended to meet a 2024 directive from South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport requiring the airline to improve its capital structure after its impairment ratio remained above regulatory thresholds.
Air Serbia Adds Airbus A320 to Growing Fleet
Air Serbia has taken delivery of another Airbus A320 as part of its ongoing fleet renewal programme. The aircraft, registered YU-APU, arrived in Belgrade on 14 July and will enter commercial service shortly. The 2007-built Airbus A320-232 is configured with 180 seats and powered by two IAE engines, supporting the airline’s gradual replacement of older A319 aircraft with higher-capacity A320s.
Air Zimbabwe to Resume Direct Harare–London Flights
Air Zimbabwe will resume nonstop passenger services between Harare and London Gatwick from 22 July 2026, restoring a direct link between Zimbabwe and the UK. The route will operate three times weekly, with flights using Gatwick’s South Terminal. Services will initially be operated by an Airbus A330-300 under an ACMI wet lease agreement with Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas, which will provide the aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance.
AvAir Acquires Full Stop Technics
AvAir has acquired Full Stop Technics, adding FAA- and EASA-certified wheel and brake MRO capabilities to its aviation aftermarket platform. The acquisition follows AvAir’s recent purchase of more than 1,600 wheel and brake assemblies from Lufthansa Technik. The combination expands AvAir’s existing inventory business and allows it to offer integrated wheel and brake support to airlines, OEMs and MRO providers.
Aviation Capital Group Places 13 Boeing 737-10 Aircraft with WestJet
Aviation Capital Group has signed long-term lease agreements with WestJet for 13 Boeing 737-10 aircraft, expanding the relationship following the delivery of two Boeing 737-8s earlier this year. The aircraft will come from ACG’s orderbook after the 737-10 receives type certification, with the first expected to be ACG’s inaugural delivery of the type. The placement will support WestJet’s fleet renewal and add capacity while maintaining commonality with its existing Boeing narrowbody fleet.

ABL Aviation Delivers Sixth Boeing 737-8 to Copa Airlines
ABL Aviation has delivered its sixth Boeing 737-8 to Copa Airlines this year as part of a phased multi-aircraft leasing programme. The aircraft is powered by CFM LEAP-1B27 engines and supports Copa Airlines’ ongoing fleet modernisation. Two additional Boeing 737-8 aircraft are scheduled for delivery before the end of 2026.
ACG Secures US$1.48 Billion Financing Facility Through Irish Subsidiary
Aviation Capital Group has completed a US$1.48 billion unsecured term loan facility through ACG Aircraft Financing Ireland DAC, with the borrowing guaranteed by ACG. The facility was syndicated across 33 lenders and will mature in July 2031, with funds required to be drawn by January 2027. The financing will support aircraft acquisitions, capital expenditure, refinancing, working capital and related facility costs through ACG’s Irish subsidiaries.
AerCap Places Three Boeing 777-300ERSF Freighters with China Southern Air Logistics
AerCap has signed lease agreements with China Southern Air Logistics for three Boeing 777-300ERSF converted freighters. The aircraft will expand the carrier’s long-haul cargo fleet and represent the first passenger-to-freighter conversion of the Boeing 777-300ER. Deliveries are scheduled between late 2027 and the first half of 2028, with the first aircraft expected in October 2027 and the remaining two due in the first and second quarters of 2028.
Aer Lingus to Discontinue Dublin-Split Service After 10 Years
Aer Lingus will discontinue its seasonal Dublin-Split service after the current summer schedule, with the final flight set for 28 September. The airline currently operates three weekly services on the route, competing with Ryanair and Croatia Airlines. Aer Lingus first launched flights to Split in 2017.
