Aviation Capital Group (ACG) Extends Credit Facility

Aviation Capital Group (ACG) announced it has extended the final maturity date of its senior unsecured revolving credit facility with JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as administrative agent by one year from June 2026 to June 2027. ACG currently has approximately $3.9 billion of total revolving commitments.

 

CommuteAir acquires Embraer E170 aircraft

CommuteAir announced it has executed a purchase agreement with Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) for an Embraer E170 aircraft. CommuteAir CEO Rick Hoefling said “The CommuteAir team is pleased to complete this acquisition of an E170 from NAC as part of our previously announced plan to add the aircraft type to our certificate and pursue independent charter opportunities.”

 

First Boeing 737-800SF with Flat Aft Pressure Bulkhead delivered

Aeronautical Engineers Inc announced the delivery of its first Boeing 737-800SF freighter conversion with a flat aft pressure bulkhead and is currently the only conversion company that is able to modify aircraft with this feature. The aircraft msn 30146 was modified by Commercial Jet’s Miami facility and has since been redelivered to unidentified customer. AEI Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Robert T. Convey, said “737-800s with flat aft pressure bulkheads represent a small percentage of the entire feedstock, yet AEI’s ability to convert all 737-800 line number aircraft is a huge convenience for our customers, especially leasing customers looking to place their aircraft around the world.”

 

NASA and Boeing jointly launch X-66A

NASA and Boeing jointly announced the aircraft produced through the agency’s Sustainable Flight Demonstrator project has been designated by the U.S. Air Force as the X-66A. The new X-plane seeks to inform a potential new generation of more sustainable single-aisle aircraft – the workhorse of passenger airlines around the world. Working with NASA, Boeing will build, test, and fly a full-scale demonstrator aircraft with extra-long, thin wings stabilized by diagonal struts, known as a Transonic Truss-Braced Wing concept. NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said “The X-66A will help shape the future of aviation, a new era where aircraft are greener, cleaner, and quieter, and create new possibilities for the flying public and American industry alike.”

 

WestJet Group appoints Michael Scott as CFO

The WestJet Group announced the appointment of Michael (Mike) Scott to the role of WestJet Group Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. WestJet Group Chief Executive Officer Alexis von Hoensbroech, said “Mike brings a wealth of financial leadership experience and a notable track record to our organization. We are a year into successfully executing on the WestJet Group's strategy to resume a long-standing track record of profitability, as we get back to our low-cost roots in service of safe, reliable, and affordable travel for Canadians. We are thrilled to welcome Mike at this pivotal time, as we continue our next exciting growth chapter at the WestJet Group."
